Amy owner of MillieBuds holding a bright bouquet of flowers

About me!

Hi, Iโ€™m Amy, flower enthusiast, career changer in her late 30โ€™s and all round lovely person (so my husband tells me). I set up MillieBuds in 2023. My work life up to this point had been supporting families.

My desire to become a florist was a slow realisation. After years of gardening and nurturing (somewhat successfully) as many flowers as I could fit in a small garden. I decided back in 2020 I wanted to do my own Wedding Flowersโ€ฆeasy right!! Umm, maybe not!! Well COVID stopped play and our wedding was postponed, the silver lining was this gave me time go to college to complete a Level 2 Course in Floristry.

Fast forward to 2022 and I fulfilled my dream of making my wedding flowers and fell in love with floristry. Now Iโ€™m diving in wholeheartedly bringing my creative, quirky side to flowers throughout the North West..

Things to know about me, I love the perfection of imperfection. My style is relaxed, fun and experimental. I am open minded, welcoming, love to listen and can interpret someoneโ€™s ideas in an instant (thank my previous life).

I look forward to designing flowers for you and hopefully bringing the same joy to your life that flowers have brought to mine.

Sustainability

โ€œI believe in making floristry as sustainable as possible, therefore I will try to use locally grown flowers whenever possible.โ€

โ€œI also plan not to use floral foam within any of my designs. Due to the toxicity and non-degradable nature of this product.โ€
